Too many places to explore!
“We have had a lovely very sunny few days here. Great location for our Jack Russells to run on the beach, and such glorious sunrises with miles and miles of sandy beaches. Very nice ‘fishy’ platter at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster overlooking the sea. Lovely walks at Low Newton and Lindisfarne – awesome castle. Too many places to explore on the doorstep. Thank you Nick for your welcome.”

Loved having such a cosy warm cottage
“Another fabulous February break we have again loved having such a cosy warm cottage to return to after days walking from castles to pubs and bsck again. Our walk from Craster to Low Newton was particularly enjoyable though the plan to return by bus didn’t work out so we had to linger in The Ship Inn…oh dear…”

Perfect location
“First stay at Puffin Cottage and what a lovely time we’ve had here. It was all booked at short notice but Nick made us feel very welcome. This place feels like a home away from home and we’ve both thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. It’s in a perfect location – nice walks on the beach and short drives to local tourist attractions. We’ll definitely be booking again, next time for longer so we can do a bit more. Thank you having us Nick it’s been lovely.”

Lots of happy customers, including us
“Another third stay. Lots of happy customers, including us.Thanks for all the welcome gifts to the cottage. We had some ferocious winds this time but still saw blue sky every day. We climbed The Cheviot which was a triumph for us. Good meals in the Red Lion Inn. Lovely walk to Alnwick along the river, and bus back. Looking forward to next year”

Wonderful as ever
“Our third visit to Alnmouth (but the first with Freya) and things have been wonderful as ever – plenty of walks (and other dogs) on the beach and very appreciative of the dog friendly businesses here – particularly the tea room just up the road. “Thanks Nick for a warm welcome to Puffin Cottage – bottle of cold wine my perfect welcome! We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here at Alnmouth, we have crammed in so much. Beaches Bistro was great for our last night and very special. Drinks at the Red Lion admiring the view is also a great pleasure. Alnwick Castle and Gardens amazing and welllo worth the fee. The walks to Warkworth Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle excellent. Bus service excellent as we travelled by train and we even managed the Holy Island. Hope to be back as Bamburgh beckons. Thanks so much – a truly wonderful week.”

Cottage is perfect
“Our first visit to the North East coast but certainly not our last. Amazing weather made the trip very special. So much to do here. Boat trip to Farne Islands, lovely walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle, our two young children loved that too. Cragside is excellent and worth a whole day out. Girls also loved the dunes at Bamburgh and seeing the tide cut off the causeway after a day at Lindisfarne. Beach at Alnmouth is lovely, many hours spent there. Also recommend a pint from the micro brewery at the Ship Inn at Low Newton, we got fish & chips from Lewisis in Seahouses and ate them on the beach with beer at Low Newton. Stunning scenery inland towards Rothbury, gorgeous drive. Cottage is perfect, we hope to return. Thnks!”
The Raja family, Bishops Stortford, 10/04/15

Very comfortable stay in a well appointed cottage
“First visit to Alnmouth, so glad there was a gap in the bookings for us to squeeze a short break in – great location by the beach and Alnmouth has everything you need, plus good base to explore from. Glorious sunny day on Holy Island, lots of seals; saw the otters at Hauxley; trips to Cragside and Keilder – stunning views on the drive over. Eat at the Hope & Anchor / Italia – excellent fish – had less successful fish & chips takeaway from thre Schooner. Thanks for a very comfortable stay in a well appointed cottage – a home from home!”
