There’s good news – and there’s even better news! The good news is that you will be spoiled for choice for places to eat and drink in Alnmouth – even better news is that not one of the venues described below is more than 2 minutes walk from Puffin Cottage!
Alnmouth has 3 good pubs – The Hope & Anchor, The Red Lion Inn, The Sun Inn. There are also bars available for the thirsty at The Village Golf Club, The Schooner Hotel and The Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
There is an Italian Restaurant, a restaurant at The Schooner (currently undergoing a change of management), ‘Beaches’ restaurant and a Bistro 3 nights a week at The Cosy Tea Rooms.
The Cosy Tea Rooms is a cafe during the day, there is the Dandelion Cafe at Nether Grange, the Alnmouth Tea Rooms opposite the Schooner, and Alnmouth Country Store also has a small cafe area for teas and coffees. All 3 pubs will of course offer tea or coffee. Cheese toasties are given away at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club – but only when Newcastle United are on the TV, and ONLY when The Toon are winning! (not often then…)
