Too many places to explore!
“We have had a lovely very sunny few days here. Great location for our Jack Russells to run on the beach, and such glorious sunrises with miles and miles of sandy beaches. Very nice ‘fishy’ platter at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster overlooking the sea. Lovely walks at Low Newton and Lindisfarne – awesome castle. Too many places to explore on the doorstep. Thank you Nick for your welcome.”

Loved having such a cosy warm cottage
“Another fabulous February break we have again loved having such a cosy warm cottage to return to after days walking from castles to pubs and bsck again. Our walk from Craster to Low Newton was particularly enjoyable though the plan to return by bus didn’t work out so we had to linger in The Ship Inn…oh dear…”

“First stay at Puffin Cottage and what a lovely time we’ve had here. It was all booked at short notice but Nick made us feel very welcome. This place feels like a home away from home and we’ve both thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. It’s in a perfect location – nice walks on the beach and short drives to local tourist attractions. We’ll definitely be booking again, next time for longer so we can do a bit more. Thank you having us Nick it’s been lovely.”

Lots of happy customers, including us
“Another third stay. Lots of happy customers, including us.Thanks for all the welcome gifts to the cottage. We had some ferocious winds this time but still saw blue sky every day. We climbed The Cheviot which was a triumph for us. Good meals in the Red Lion Inn. Lovely walk to Alnwick along the river, and bus back. Looking forward to next year”

Puffin Cottage now offers visitors a free Wi-Fi connection!
Many thanks to the lovely Emma Turton for her glowing review of Puffin Cottage which has been published this week in the Burton Mail, Uttoxeter Advertiser and Ashbourne News Telegraph.
Northumberland, the ‘Secret Kingdom’ may not be so secret after this…
Have just taken another booking for next year which means that over 100 days are already confirmed booked.
I would ask those guests and friends that want to return next year to get in touch sooner rather than later, if only to pencil in confirmed dates for 2014.
We love Puffin Cottage!

We are now back at home, after spending a lovely week in Northumberland with our base at Puffin Cottage. We have seen wonderful sights every day, and every type of weather you can imagine. We all enjoyed the warmth and homeliness of the cottage, and were very comfortable there.
